Our story

Unplugged Adventures began as a big idea, from conversations among parents, educators, doctors, yogis, artists, and other community members. We discovered that we were all seeking something special, maybe even someplace special. We wanted more time connecting with our families and more time outdoors.

After some reflection and evaluating our values, we set our first goal: to provide unique outdoor programs for children in West Cobb. We did this through an internationally licensed program called TimberNook. In August of 2017, we launched TimberNook of West Georgia in Powder Springs.

In a few short years, your support and encouragement helped move our big ideas forward. We were stoked to partner with Still Family Farm late in 2019. Their deep roots in the community, love for family, and breathtaking land were everything we had been dreaming of. Today, we are a team, uniquely brought together, with one goal in mind: to remind you just how easy it is to slow down, unplug, and get outside.

Currently, Unplugged proudly offers a year-round Nature Preschool and transitional Kindergarten program. We also offer enrichment programs for both homeschool and schooling families. In addition, we provide multiple opportunities throughout the year for families to visit the farm and play outdoors together.

Unplugged Adventures’ programs are located at the beautiful Still Family Farm property in Powder Springs, GA. The farm location boasts wide-open grassy fields, hiking trails, forest play spaces, and a quiet flowing creek. There is an abundance of wildlife friends that we get to see often, making this special place feel more like a mountain retreat rather than a farm in the suburbs. We have restroom facilities on the property as well as a covered market pavilion.
